I was wondering...I consider myself still relatively new to the blogger world; but how do you comment back to a comment left on your page. I mean, I do comment back, but does that person know that I commented back? I was searching online this morning for answers and found this tutorial.
Any help here is appreciated! :)

I always wonder the same thing!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh- I have been wondering the same thing the pat few days!! I have seen that people can do it who use wordpress, but I couldn't figure it out for blogger. I want to be able to comment on a comment!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you girls get this comment! ;)
ReplyDeleteI always wonder the same thing. I've seen that some bloggers always comment back in their comments. And I think their readers just catch on that they do this. So if I comment to them I will check back for an answer. I find that I will mostly go to that person's blog and leave a comment on their blog answering their question. Or I will find their email and email them. Some sites have the cool feature where they can comment to you and you'll get an email, but I don't think blogger does this. If they do, I want to know! I've also seen where people will answer questions in their next post. I guess just decide what you want to do and go with it. If you always comment back in your comments, people will probably catch on.
ReplyDeleteI comment back in my comments but I also e-mail them directly as well. Usually though, I comment at the end of the day from the blog I posted that morning.
ReplyDeleteIn blogger...go to design, then settings, then comments. Near the bottom of the page you can put in your email address. All comments will then go to your email.
ReplyDeleteFor those that are set up (to comment on your blog) with a return email, you can then reply to their comments privately.
Is this what you are looking for?
Kelly, thank you for the comment on my blog. I wanted to follow up and let you know that if you have any questions about the whole run/walk thing I did it with my friend for about a year. So if you have questions, let me know.
ReplyDeleteAs far as commenting back...if someone comments and they have a blog, I usually go to their blog and leave a comment (like this one). 1. I want to be sure you get the reply, and 2. I want to check out your fun blog as well.
If someone leaves a comment and they don't have a blog, I usually comment back in my own comments and use @Kelly...
Or, if it's a question that I feel others would benefit from my answer I will put it in my own comments as well with the @...
I hope this isn't confusing. It's just the way it works best for me.
i think you install a comment-program to reply back *on* a blog. i just reply via email, or if it's a question that i can write about i might write up a post to address the question/comment.
ReplyDeletebut as for the comment-on-the-blog, i'm not sure if the "widgets" can be installed on blogger, or if they are just best on wordpress. (i use blogger, so i don't know about WP)
I always go to the commenter's blog to comment back, when they ask a question, to make sure they get an answer.
