Well, we finally broke down and bought it!
We were borrowing it last week from the hubby's co worker; and since we liked it we decided to go ahead and buy it. We found it brand spankin' new on CraigsList for only $65! Yea!!!! Obviously, the hubby is following the classic schedule, I on the other hand am not sure whether or not to just do the same as him, or do the lean schedule. I am kind of torn, because I am still trying to plan out my training plan for my marathon in June. I know of one fellow blogger, Kim who has done both P90X and trained for a half, but I'm not sure what to do yet. Any suggestions?
Shoot, if I'm going to be doing BOTH P90X AND Marathon Training, I better look like this this summer! HA! ;)
OR.....this will do:

Wow, good luck! I have heard amazing things about P90X so I'm sure you'll do great with it too. As for training for a marathon at the same time...hmm, i don't know. I'm currently training for a marathon right now too and I can't imagine doing something like this on top of it. Take your time and move slowly into it.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this program can be really good, provided you stick with it and ea well of course. Hmm, combining with running. My XC coach told me back in the day that it was ok to lift and run just do the "more important" one first (aka trainingfor marathon=make sure you have energy to sustain a run and then do p90x after). You could do an am/pm workout too. I would personally probably not do p90 everyday but that's just me. I'd use it as weight-workouts or the kenpo as a cardio cross-training option?
ReplyDeleteWhatever you choose -- good luck!
I've heard great things about this program...keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited you're running the SD RnR Marathon, it's SO fun!!
You know what I'm up to and how I'm combining it. Man, I want those good looking arms too! Once you try out all the workouts, I know you'll figure out a way to use what you need and get your marathon training done as well. Good luck!
